Disclosing Edge Intelligence: A Systematic Meta-Survey

The Edge Intelligence (EI) paradigm has recently emerged as a promising solution to overcome the inherent limitations of cloud computing (latency, autonomy, cost, etc.) in development and provision next-generation Internet Things (IoT) services. Therefore, motivated by its increasing popularity, relevant research effort was expended order explore, from different perspectives at degrees detail, many facets EI. In such context, aim this paper analyze wide landscape on EI providing systematic analysis state-of-the-art manuscripts form tertiary study (i.e., review literature reviews, surveys, mapping studies) according guidelines PRISMA methodology. A comparison framework is, hence, provided sound questions outlined, aimed exploring (for benefit both experts beginners) past, present, future directions relationships with IoT worlds.
